Role | Privacy Specialist (System Analyst) – Aster expert support | Data Protection Office (ZCD)
Privacy headings are more and more common in the news but Privacy is nothing new to Scania; ‘Respect for the Individual’ is one of the core values we sincerely try to live up to since long. However, only since 2018 has there is a central Data Protection Office being established, which currently consists of the Group Data Protection Officer and two Privacy Specialists but we need to expand. Are you the expert we are searching for?
The Data Protection Office works closely with a global network of skilled Privacy Officers and Data Protection Coordinators, to support and monitor the Scania organization in relation to privacy and data protection. We are acting in a world of constant changes; in addition to the Scania business's constant digital progress, there is a constant flow of new and updated data protection legislation around the globe. As part of our support to the business, we offer a data protection management system called Aster (powered by OneTrust). The system is now being rolled out to the Scania subsidiaries worldwide. With the increased number of users and data protection regulations managed in the system, the workload has significantly increased for the Data Protection Office. This is where you potentially can make a big difference for us.
Your tasks
The goal of this role is to be an expert of our Data Protection Management System Aster to further develop and maintain its support to the business and to continue the global roll-out.
The tasks include but are not limited to;
• Administer the data protection management system Aster
• Train and support the users, which also includes the creation of training and support material
• Coordinate processes and methods so that system support can be provided
• Provide internal stakeholders with recurrent status reports
• Liaise with the system provider on day-to-day support issues
• Participate in Privacy and Data Protection projects within the Group
Your profile
We are looking for a candidate who has a genuine interest in Privacy and Data Protection, and a customer-value focused approach. Someone who is a result-oriented team-player but at the same time able to take own initiatives and work independently. The position means international cooperation, thus effective verbal and written communication skills in English are required. Do you recognize yourself in this description?
Furthermore, we find you need to have the following education and experiences:
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Hands-on software development/testing /rollout experience
• Capability to learn and share new techniques and practices, as well as applying agile way of working
• Strong drive to make things happen amid uncertainty (due to changes in laws or in their interpretation/applicability etc.)
• Ability to explain and communicate complex matters in an easy and understandable way
It is not a must requirement but an advantage if you have;
• Been exposed to a Privacy Management software platform, such as OneTrust
• ISec experiences
• Cloud computing experiences
• Business process development skills
