Electromobility is one of the main development areas within Volvo Group and was created to be in the forefront of environmental friendly transport solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow.
We are responsible for the transition from conventional powertrains to electromobility and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. We develop and drives the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks & Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within Volvo Group. Electromobility is a growing agile driven organization in place to shape the future!
The importance of electromobility is growing every day and a key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage System (ESS). At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the ESS, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase.


To the ESS ( Energy Storage System) section we now recruiting a Proactive Quality Leader to the ESS strategy and Platform group
We are responsible to develop complete ESS functionality realized by HW and SW solutions. You will be part of an agile and approachable organization with skilled product teams consisting of passionate people. What will you do?
Define and lead the way of working with proactive quality work within ESS, support and coach the organization. You will be responsible the generic System and Design FMEA’s, see to that they are updated and used in the development process. Support Teams with facilitating FMEA if needed. Responsible to define and balance reliability, durability and quality targets/requirements, continuously evaluate and communicate regarding quality targets. Secure that process improvements on tools and templates are deployed in the organization. You also need to set up the feedback loop from todays issues and secure that the learning goes into new development.

We believe that to be successful in this position, you are a pragmatic team player that loves to develop System designs with the customer in focus. Since the area is in an early phase, it is important that you are flexible and enjoy working in a changing environment. You have a broad knowledge and experience of both Electrical, Mechanical and functional development. We believe that solid experience from working with Quality requirements, System FMEA, FF and MTBF.
Master of Science in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
6 years’ experience from quality and system engineering within automotive systems.
Solid experience from working with Quality requirements, System FMEA, FF and MTBF.
Proven record of excellent communication and presentation skills.
Fully proficient in Quality related tools such as flowcharts, histograms etc.

It is considered a merit if you have experience within one or several of the following:
Volvo processes: Such as DVP, SCQI; QSP, QJ , PMR, QAG, PIL etc. Experience within Energy Storage Systems. Agile Principals and methods.
