The Vara plant is now in an important phase where we will not only build on and improve today’s processes and IT solutions, but also continue digitalizing and transforming the plant to handle tomorrow’s challenges and opportunities with introduction of new products and processes.
As a process and IT developer within the produce area you have an important role in the transformation, supporting and gathering requirements in the different projects, being the bridge between the user, the projects and the suppliers of IT and hardware solutions.
Working together with the different departments within Volvo Penta such as Engineering and Digital & IT, you will identify user and project requirements to create and implement change requests or IT projects. You will also represent the Produce process in new projects. Testing, approving, and supporting both new and existing processes and IT solutions will be an important part of your work, not only locally in Vara but also globally within Volvo Penta produce area.
The next generation of Manufacturing execution system will be an upcoming challenge as well as setting the new IT solutions around new hardware and software investments in the plant.
You have the ability to collaborate and network with a wide variety of colleagues on different levels and across functions, being fluent in both the Swedish and English language.
You are self-driven, analytical and would like to play a key role in the transformation towards the future for the Volvo Penta produce processes.
You preferably hold a university degree in Information Technology, Engineering or Logistics and proven experience working in the areas of production, IT, or process development.
You are stationed in the Vara plant, working closely with two colleagues that have similar roles reporting to the Process Manager for the Produce area.
