Process Development Engineer

ROLE PURPOSE
As Process Development Engineer you develop and improve technical, economical and HSE&Q aspects of the existing polymerisation plants in Stenungsund, to produce high quality polyethylene for demanding applications. You support the design, operation and upgrade of the plants, and report to Technical Development Manager, PO.

CONTRIBUTION
- Be proactive in finding innovative and optimal process solutions
Identify and initiate improvement projects
- Be responsible for benefit studies and preparing project proposals
- Participate in start-up, commissioning and tuning of process plants
- Trouble-shooting and problem solving in the plants
- Hold seminars/training activities, and actively contribute to networks within ones specific field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or closely related
- Experience in plant operation, engineering or development, preferably in PO processes and polymerization technology
- Knowledge of project management
- Fluent in English and Swedish
- Ability to build a broad contact network inside Borealis and outside
- Ability to prioritize and take decisions
- Good skills in engaging, motivating and involving people
- Good communication capability
