PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Borealis is a leading provider of innovative, value creating plastics solutions. We are now looking for a talented engineer to strengthen our development team in Stenungsund. You will be part of a cross-disciplinary team with the mission to develop the design and operation of our plants. Role Purpose: As Process Development Engineer you develop and improve technical, economical and HSE&Q aspects of the existing polymerisation plants in Stenungsund, to produce high quality polyethylene for demanding applications. You support the design, operation and upgrade of the plants, and report to Asset Development Manager, PO. Contribution: - Be proactive in finding innovative and optimal process solutions - Identify and initiate improvement projects - Be responsible for benefit studies and preparing project proposals - Participate in start-up, commissioning and tuning of process plants - Trouble-shooting and problem solving in the plants - Hold seminars/training activities, and actively contribute to networks within ones specific field Knowledge, skills and experience: - M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or closely related - At least 3 years of working experience within the process industry - Competence in the area of process design, operation and quality - Knowledge of project management - Fluent in English and Swedish - Ability to build a broad contact network inside Borealis and outside - Ability to prioritise and take decisions - Good skills in engaging, motivating and involving people - Good communication capability Behaviour: - Achievement and result oriented - Analytical thinking - Cultural awareness - Flexibility - Initiative - Cooperative - Concern for order and quality Other information: We are looking for a person who are willing to grow and develop within our organisation, either locally or within an international context.
