Northvolt has exciting job offers for Manufacturing Process Engineers to join our bold Battery Systems team in Stockholm.
In joining us you will play an important part from the very start in developing a new generation of battery system and building a large scale European battery factory. Process engineers are responsible for the planning and organisation of duties within a given process area that includes the development of new or improved manufacturing processes, generation of process specifications, execution of strategic actions, improving productivity and quality metrics, and optimising product flow through the factory, with safety at front of mind.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Development and optimisation of new and existing manufacturing processes to ensure launch of new products and meet future production demands.
Generate process specifications.
Characterize existing processes, define critical parameters, run DOE's, and establish controls that allow measurement of process capability and monitor existing processes using SPC.
Define process development plan, describing major elements of transition from design to manufacturing.
Identify and evaluate process improvement areas through data analysis and interpretation.
Support Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) activities.
Drive process commissioning on new equipment and production lines.
Ownership and drive development of the PFMEA.

Skills & Requirements
Education/Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
5+ years of relevant work experience within new product and process development.
Familiar with Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design for Manufacturability & Assembly (DFMEA) and troubleshooting tools.
Successful track record of leading process development projects in prototype and production environment.
Experience with evolving products and processes from prototype through production in a fast-growing environment ideally in the Automotive, Electrical/Electronics, Paper & Pulp, Semiconductor, Electrochemical or similar industry.
Specific Skills/Abilities
Excellent English written and oral skills, Swedish is a plus.
Proactive and goes beyond expectations.
Good negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrable experience to work independently and with others in a high profile and often agile, international environment.
