NKT is expanding and is now looking for an experienced Process Engineer, to be part of our exciting journey.
Working closely with our international customers, we develop, manufacture and install efficient, environmentally friendly, and technologically advanced high-voltage cables, (HVC), for land and offshore applications worldwide. NKT provides flexible and reliable cable solutions for a sustainable, renewable, and powerful world.

Continuously improving and securing processes that support quality and throughput time in their area of responsibility.
Responsibilities:
Production:
* Responsible for ensuring, optimizing and controlling the production processes
* Initiates and supervises improvement processes that lead to shorter lead times/cost savings
* Advises on workplace design according to 5S principles
* Performs process risk analysis and defines and facilitates improvement/mitigation plans
* Ensures to work according to processes
Engineering / Orders:
* Translates drawings into standard work instructions and advises engineering on Design for Manufacturing
* Advises on how the processes should be organized to meet customer specifications
Processes:
* Analyses the production process and ensures proper recording of the facts so that they are reliable input for Process Improvement projects
* Escalating to management in case of major process risks that can influence the company result negatively
* Assisting with process related issues within their area of responsibility in order to ensure continuity of the production process
* Performs Multi Moment Recording and Overall Equipment Efficiency measurements in order to improve norm hours/throughput times using, for example, lean 6Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, etc.
* Is able to select and facilitate the right approach and tools depending on the problem to be improved/solved. For example: 6Sigma, Root Cause Analysis (5Why, Fish Bone), PFMEA etc.
* Auditing business processes
* Making improvement proposals
* Adjusting and recording processes and, if necessary, shutting down of processes if properly argued and escalated
* Gaining access to data needed to assess processes
* Hiring external expertise if necessary
* Calling employees to account for not following formal processes
Performance area:
* Quantities successfully implemented projects
* Reduction Cost Of Poor Quality (COPQ)
* Increase First Time Right (FTR)
* Reduction of Non-Conformities (NCR’s)
The right person has/is:
* 5 years of experience within an equivalent position (manufacturing industry)
* Knowledge about tools as 5-Why, 8D or equal. Six sigma is a plus
* Pro-active and has the ability of setting priorities
* MS office, Excel experience
* Fluent in English
* SAP knowledge (a plus)
