We are now looking for a skilled and qualified Process Engineer to join us in our Process Engineering Department within the Asset Management Team. We offer an interesting working environment with approximately 30 highly skilled technical professionals. In your future role as Process Engineer, you will
participate in projects, being able to act as lead engineer and also lead small projects. Based on customer demands, you will also define scope of projects and manage uncertainties within the own discipline. The position also requires you to participate/lead as Process Engineer at commissioning and start-up of plants and be responsible for new process design, using new technology and RD&I information. It is paramount the identification of shortcomings in current processes, system and procedures within the process discipline aimed to suggest and implement improvements.
This position requires some travelling and therefore you should have a willingness to travel abroad within Europe approximately 25% your time.


Your responsibilities
Define, plan, manage and co-ordinate assigned (portfolio of) projects within EMEA’s production site and ensure safe execution and delivery within time, budget and quality.
Translate regulatory requirements into new ways of working, standards and procedures, apply existing engineering standards, develop or contribute to the development of new guidelines.
Carry out training of the customer's operations and maintenance staff
Perform process design in projects including:
Basis of design, flow sheeting, process flow diagram, material and heat balance
Process calculations, sizing of equipment, piping and instrumentation
Create and establish P&ID (Piping & Instrument Diagram)
Preparation of functional descriptions of instrumentation and process control
Execute or support risk assessments of new/existing installations/equipment and issue advice for needed changes at request or at own initiative
Identify opportunities and make suggestions for improvement in production processes and design work, strategy of control, installations, equipment and working processes


We believe you bring
MSc Chemical Engineering or similar
A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with chemical plant design
A proved record of completed Front-End Design
Experience and knowledge in risk assessment
Previous experience of Aspen Plus and Aspen Hysys.
Fluent in English both spoken and written.



Great if you have
Knowledge of PHAST software for process hazard analysis
Proficiency in Swedish language is an advantage

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to Fabio Alese, Manager Process Engineering EMEIA, based in the Nordic Business center in Gothenburg.
