This position is based in Uppsala, where Thermo Fisher develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. How will you make an impact?
We’re now in a period of expansion, and we are looking for a motivated and driven Process Engineer willing to join our team, and a key team member to support us in developing our site in Uppsala.
You will be a driving force in the technical development where the main aim is to increase our production capacity and efficiency within Global Operations within the Immuno Diagnostics Division of Thermo Fisher. You will be contributing to the development of our sites and the growth of our business by realizing our site master plan.
What will you do?
In this role you will work in close contact with our production and support them in areas such as quality and improvements. For instance, lead changes for the production process, help during problem solving in complex non-conformities and CAPA as well as perform risk analysis for the production process.
You will be responsible for investigations and also be activity leader for smaller projects as well as be a project member in larger projects within the production area. The project teams are multifunctional, typical interfaces are engineering functions, production, supply chain, R&D, sourcing, QA and external partners and suppliers.
The team you belong to is the Process Engineering team that consists of 12 process engineers & vials and packaging engineers, as well as consultants with different fields of expertise.
How will you get there?
The role will suit you who like the variation of working independently in close contact with Production as well as in different projects and to collaborate with colleagues and suppliers. Curiosity in technology and ability to quickly adapt to new situations is key. You are driven problem solver who can see both the big picture and manage details and have a clear result focus. You are excellent at collaboration with internal customers, colleagues and suppliers. You provide clear communication and are proactive in the way you work.
You have an Engineering degree preferably within mechanical, chemical or technical biology or similar with 5-10 years of experience of engineering and project work in a regulated business.
It is a merit if you have experience from production processes according to ISO 13485 both in laboratory scale as well as automated industrial scale.
Previous experiences from statistical evaluation of processes as well as validation of equipment and production processes is and experience and interest in cleaning processes for medical device is a merit for this position.
You have experience of working in a production environment where operations often must run in parallel to technical projects
You have a strong result focus, drive and win together mentality
You can easily communicate in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
