Process Engineer

We now have an immediate opening for a Process Engineer.
The Silica Sol plant in Bohus produces a large number of silica products for various businesses. Silica products are used in for example production of pulp and paper, construction, and polishing to the high demanding electronic industry. There is also an extensive R&D and marketing program focused on new silica products and new markets.
Silica Sol Bohus is one of eight plants within Nouryon producing colloidal silica. The plant produces roughly 30 different products in four production lines and employs 33 people including staff working in site Bohus waste water treatment plant. The products are used in a wide variety of segments as e.g. pulp and paper industry, electronic industry, paint industry, construction industry.
Main responsibilities
Actively work with continuous improvement, in order to produce the material needed for strategically improving the process regarding productivity, yield, quality and process safety.
Responsible for process equipment, process development, optimization and troubleshooting and make sure that the plant produces at high yield, with established qualities, cost efficiently and according to process safety standards and legislations.
Plan and carry out modifications and investment projects with respect to management of change process
Participate in development projects as contributor regarding process technologies and equipment limitations, safety regulations, industrial IT in order to be able to take care of new products handed over from R&D.
Advanced technical knowledge of the plant, both practical and theoretical

Qualifications
MSc or bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
Experience from chemical industry
Good communication and cooperation skills
Good knowledge in process safety and risk management
Good knowledge in Swedish and English language, both verbally and in writing

If you proceed in our selection process we invite you to a face-to-face interview that takes about 1,5 hours. There you will meet with the recruiter and the hiring manager.
