We are now looking for a Process Engineer who will be involved in both quality assurance and developing quality improvements – but also proposals for growth, increased efficiency and safety. This role has a Quality responsibility (QA) for our GMP certified products. Experience with chemical processes and similar roles is a large benefit, but personal attributes and a willingness to learn can be equally important.
You will be joining a small, but skilled team with experience from multiple organizations, roles and various fields. In this function you will have many contact areas and work with several functions on site. Cooperation and team orientation are key in this role. You will be part of the site leadership team.
.Main responsibilities
Perform necessary QA activities and improvements
Have the role as first approver in MOC-process
Responsible for initiating, coordinating and participating in Hazard studies
Lead investigations within process safety
Learn and improve our processes
Be a team player – help your co-workers become better, happier and more effective
Long-term Continuous Improvement skills
Certify as L6S Brown Belt and lead L6S projects
Develops plans to improve plant performance through focused improvement activities (in conjunction with plant management team) along with capital projects.
For capital projects, perform initial projects scoping and business case development
Be the linking pin between Global technology group, R&D, and allocated plant for the industrialization of new products, new raw materials and recipe changes ensuring that changes on site are controlled and managed
Help drive OEE up by elimination of technology and material losses
Lead establishment of MAC’s, Thresholds, planning rates, BOM’s as well as establishment of primary and secondary drivers in PEM
Analyse AUM/PEM data and create reports to identify Bad Actors and thereby improvement opportunities
Lead the identification of the correct cost drivers and evaluate the effect on raw material consumption
Lead the identification of the correct pacemakers in the process.
Lead and facilitate RCPS
Process technology
Have the role as process technology expert for the area of responsibility
Strong knowledge of process technology (or develop one)
Provide expertise during process related troubleshooting issues
Aware of developments and trends in technology for the area of responsibility
Aware of product usage and customer needs and wants
Reaches out for advice to other process engineers within the direct network, external expertise or to the global technology group for complex process related issues
Support Plant Management teams in educating process operators regarding production processes and equipment
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you are a good communicator who is proactive and driven to solve problems, both on your own and with others. You are flexible a quick starter. You are also eager to contribute to continuous improvements. You are result oriented and feel comfortable working with deadlines. You have a can-do attitude and is prepared to learn on-the-job the skills you do not currently possess.
We also see that you have:
Ability to speak, write and understand either of Norwegian/Swedish/Danish and also English language
MSc in Chemistry, Bachelor, Physics, Mathematics (Statistics or Industrial) or Pharmaceutics – or similar.
Experience from chemical industry
Good communication and cooperation skills
Good knowledge in process safety and risk management
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 and other HSE related regulations
Firm awareness of Nouryon’s HSE-requirements
