Do you want to work in a driving role, with great development opportunities close to the heart of one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies? AstraZeneca is currently seeking process engineers for consultancy assignments in Warehouse & Dispensation in Södertälje.


AstraZeneca has its largest manufacturing facility in Södertälje, where almost 40% of the company's pharmaceutical value is produced and distributed worldwide. Sweden Operations is also the launch site for the company. AstraZeneca has decided to invest further in Södertälje by expanding its operations with a brand new high-tech manufacturing unit for biological drugs. An investment of around USD 285 million.


Within Sweden Operations there are several manufacturing units as well as Warehouse & Dispensation where you will work. Warehouse & Dispensation handles incoming materials, dispenses raw materials and distributes them to the various manufacturing units in Södertälje. AstraZeneca is available on both sites in Södertälje, Gärtuna and Snäckviken.

Your role
As a process engineer, you belong to a Production Support which, in addition to process engineers, includes production technicians, super users, business coordinators and document specialists. You will work cross-functionally close to the business and handle various process and flow technical issues. You will support the business and be a process engineering expert for a number of processes / flows. The work is independent, varied and is conducted in close collaboration with other functions within the company. You report to the Head of Production Support, which in turn is part of the management team for the department.


Examples of tasks:


investigate and rectify production deviations
initiate and drive cross-functional improvement projects / initiatives
lead and conduct validation and qualification
participate in / manage business and investment projects
initiate and pursue change cases
participate as a process technical expert in government inspections
be part of various cross-functional teams, especially close to the business



We assume


that you have a technical / science education at the university level with a focus on chemistry, process or mechanical engineering or the equivalent competence obtained through many years of industry experience.
that you have good knowledge of both Swedish and English and express yourself well both in speech and in writing
that you know how to do process work and understand the interaction between product requirements, materials, process and machine
that you like to lead cross-functional groupings where progress is an important factor
that you enjoy a driving role that operates in an environment with a high rate of change.



It is a merit to have experience from pharmaceutical manufacturing, good knowledge of GMP and knowledge of Lean and improvement work.
