Melting & Atomizing is one of our core processes when producing Höganäs´ world-leading metal powder. Would you like to be part of the development of existing and future processes for Melting & Atomizing? We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our team.
About the position
We are constantly striving towards further optimizing our processes for existing and future powders, to get as competitive powder as possible. The Melting & Atomizing team is part of our Global Technology organisation and is a small but highly dedicated team with a lot of specialized know-how. Global Technology brings together our core competencies in process and equipment and supports the various facilities, around the world, from pre-study to project implementation or production start-up.
As Process Engineer your work will include:
• Initiate and drive projects to create unique production processes
• Secure successful implementation of new product/processes in different operations
• Support projects and activities with hands-on knowledge
• Secure competence within the Melting and Atomizing
• Initiate and drive information transfer and activities in Best Practice Groups
• Support regional operations in process know-how and transfer knowledge
• Ensure that global process development is done according to corporate and local quality and environmental standards
• Ensure that activities, projects and meetings are concluded cost-efficiently
Your profile
We are looking for you who holds a university degree in Metallurgy. You have at least 5-10 years of experience in metallurgy, preferably within steel/stainless steel melting areas. To thrive in the role, you need to have a big interest both in process development and production processes. We see you as an outward problem solver with strong project leader-, teamwork- and communication skills. You also need to have the ability to structure and organise your work in an efficient and good way.
Travelling is required for about 20 days/year.
The position is located at Höganäs AB in Höganäs, Sweden.
