Are you a recent graduate with an engineering degree and an international ambition? Join Outokumpu and become a part of our Graduate program! We are now looking for a process engineer to join our production at Outokumpu Nyby, located in Torshälla.

To be a part of the Graduate program we see that you are a quite recent university graduate. If you are interested in this position and have more extensive experience, we of course still welcome your application – in that case you would be a process engineer hired outside of the scope of the graduate program.
About the position
You are offered an attractive role located in Torshälla with great freedom and several contact points. As a process engineer, you mainly work in project form with improvement projects – both as the project leader and as a team member. This work includes data collection, creating specifications, budget, time plan, purchasing, acceptance work, and monitoring of the project during the implementation phase and follow-up. The improvement projects come in a broad variety of areas, some of which are machine efficiency, production methods & ways of working. In this work your collaboration with our supporting functions and other stakeholders is an important part. Among others you’ll closely collaborate with our automation engineers & machine engineer to ensure execution of the projects you’re managing.
The department, Process group 2, is where we have our Coil Build up line, Cold Rolling Mill, Cold annealing and Pickling line. We’re a total of 50 employees working at the department and our atmosphere is characterized by great collaboration, professional pride and a distinctive improvement culture. You, together with two colleagues, support the department manager with daily leadership tasks to ensure the production’s safety, efficiency, and quality.
Additionally, you will participate in a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training to support you in becoming responsible for improvement projects within the department. You will also get an opportunity to share your knowledge in Outokumpu’s international graduate development program called Form your Future.
What we are looking for
You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering with a couple years of relevant work experience – preferably experience from a similar industry. Since this role entails both local & global collaboration fluency (written & spoken) in both Swedish & English is a must.
To succeed in this role you are analytically inclined, well-structured, collaborative and have a coaching approach.
To succeed in our graduate program you have a strong interest to develop yourself cross-functionally, internationally, and with a willingness to travel. You have high career aspirations with a hands-on attitude and enjoy taking own responsibility as well as eagerness to learn and develop, and to work in fields new to you.
