We are now recruiting a Process Engineer for sterilizers within the business category unit Surgical Workflow, which is part of Getinge Group. We develop products for the healthcare and Life Science sector aimed for the global market. Getinge Group is in an exciting and intensive period of change and you will be a key player when ensuring high technical expertise in our sterilizer projects. The position
In this position you will be part of our R&D organization. Your responsibility involves mechanical and process design within sterilizer projects, including corresponding documentation according to specifications and agreed time plans. The long term objective is to develop state of the art sterilizer process expertize. You will work close to the Chief Engineer for Sterilizers and also to the project management, mechanical engineers as well as to the testing and verification department.
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Requirement management for sterilizers
• Mechanical and piping design for sterilizers
• Technical development of processes for sterilizers
• Platform and modular design
• Interlock and safety design
• Steam technology and thermodynamics development
• Read, analyze and comprehend applicable standards
The position is located in Getinge outside Halmstad and reports to the R&D Manager Sterilizers.
The ideal candidate
As ideal for the position you have the following key characteristics:
• Minimum 3 years of experience from development work
• Experience in product development
• Preferable experience from CAD design
• Experience from medical device development is beneficial
• Experience from steam technology and thermodynamics development is a merit
• Academic degree in engineering (M.Sc or similar)
• Fluent spoken and written English is required and Swedish proficiency is favorable
As a person you are a driven and flexible team-builder with strong communication- and interpersonal skills. You have the ability to work independently as well as in groups and you can interact with all levels in the organization. You are analytical and have a sense of urgency which means that you identify problems and secure that actions are implemented. Further, you have a high technical interest and are motivated by being the expert in your field. Being solution-oriented and open to changes are also important competences in order to succeed in this role.
