About the role
In the role as process engineer at Talga you will have the responsibility to organize and arrange metallurgical process testing with technology suppliers, testing facilities and consultants. You will be setting up crews, supervising, planning and managing the production schedules.
You will also:
- collect technical reports from consultant experts and complete design criteria for Talga's requirements for the process
- manage technology providers to ensure they deliver according to contracts
- review the engineering consultants work based on process requirements
- assist in the control philosophy and general automation of the plants
- recruit, train and develop the processing teams who manage the plants
- create and administrate production budget and contracts
- plan and uphold health and safety & environment targets
In addition, you will be part of a Swedish Project team and will assist management in obtaining licenses and permits for the production facilities. Support in building supply chains, relationships with suppliers, assist the procurement and contracts group.
The immediate plan is setting up the design, implementation and start-up of the process for making materials from mined ores for lithium ion batteries.
This role is based in Luleå but some travel is required to Kiruna and Stockholm.
Who are you?
To succeed in this role we see that you have graduated with a chemical or mechanical engineering degree. As one of the first people on site you will be a part of the scaling up of the factory. Therefore we see that you are self-motivated and have an entrepreneurial mindset. We also think that you have experience from working in industries like for example oil, automotive, mineral or something similar. You will be working with exciting new technologies and will be piloting and testing the equipment. The role require lots of contact with consultants, project leader and suppliers etc, therefore you need to be communicative.
You might for example have experience from research, operating and installing equipment, programming automation systems or supervising shift work in factories.
