We are seeking a Process Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience to take ownership of the water system integration in our project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the sitewide process integration of the various water systems in the project through development of process standards and guidelines and ensuring the project delivers a safe and operable plant. This role requires strong process engineering, interface management and knowledge about Swedish regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Water Process Integration Ownership
Process integration of the following water systems; industrial water, demineralized water, cooling water, waste water.
Develop, update, and maintain the water content of the Process Utilty Standards (client internal standards) to ensure consistency and quality.
Ensure relevant water system desriptions exist and are correct and up to date (site wide process descriptions, block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, water balance).
Resolve identified cross-area discrepancies and issues and follow up on implementation of solution.
Participation in interfacing HAZOPs related to water.
Design Development
Support EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) teams and consultants in developing an optimized and safe process diesgn.
Collect and define user water requirements and specifications.
Review EPCM, OEM and Consultants drawings, models and process documentation related to water (e.g. P&ID, water balances).
Coordination and Communication
Collaborate with Stegra Area process engineers to ensure consistent application of standards over the areas.
Collaborate with EPCM teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate and review process designs related to water integration from a site-wide perspective.
Regulatory and Compliance Leadership
Ensure compliance with Swedish laws and regulations
Travel and Flexibility
Be willing to travel to the project site and other EPCM offices as required for meetings, inspections, and project reviews.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 7 years in process engineering, with proven experience in industrial projects such as Material & Mining Industry, Oil & Gas industry, Pulp & Paper Industry or Automotive and Battery Manufacturing Industry. Experience working with water distribution.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field.
Languages: Fluent in English; proficiency in Swedish is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills: Process Engineering. Water & Utility. Swedish standards and regulations.
Soft Skills: Collaborative, strong communication and coordination skills.
