ABOUT THE POSITION:
PowerCell develops and produces fuel cell stacks and systems for stationary and mobile applications with a world class power density. As the stacks and systems are compact, modular and scalable, they are easily adjusted to any customer need. PowerCell is looking for a new colleague to join the cross-competent System Development team consisting of process, test and control engineers. In Gothenburg, where Powercell has their headquarter, you will work in a friendly environment filled with driven colleagues with high ambitions, working hard to push the transition to sustainable energy solutions on a daily basis.
As a process engineer you will work closely together with the System Development team but also mechanical design engineers and electrical engineers, as well as the Stack Development team. You will develop advanced fuel cell system solutions tailor made for various applications on land, water and in the air.
Examples of day-to-day tasks:
Process design of high-performing, safe, and compliant fuel cell systems ranging from tens of kW to MW scale
Development of process flow diagrams
Performing heat and mass balances and flow calculations
Selecting system components based on application specific requirements
Collaborate with customers, external partners and component suppliers
Participate in system control strategy development
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The must-haves:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field relevant for the role, preferably process, chemical or mechanical engineering, technical physics etc.
Relevant experience within the process, marine or automotive industry
Broad technical background and interest
Fluency in both written and oral English
Capable of documenting designs and work in organized ways
Capability to work in fast paced environment where focus and responsibilities may change quickly
The nice-to-haves:
Knowledge of process modelling tools
Fuel cell system experience
Basic process control knowledge
Fluency in both written and spoken Swedish
We are looking for a person with analytical and cooperative skills, who takes on a problem solving and initiative-taking mindset as a natural part of the everyday work. Despite this, we prefer that you are flexible and communicative towards both colleagues and costumers.
ABOUT THE COSTUMER COMPANY:
PowerCell develops and produces Hydrogen Electric Fuel Cells for a wide variety of applications, including solutions for transport; for instance Marine, on and off road-vehicles, aviation and stationary. The fuel cells produce electricity with no other emissions than water and heat. PowerCell has customers all over the world who has made the switch to renewable energy sources which contributes to a better environment and a sustainable future.
ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT:
This is a consulting assignment which means that you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from both parts is that the assignment will result in a permanent position at PowerCell when finished.
