Process Excellence is a function within Engineering Tools & Process Development with the main goal to drive the common way of working in R&D globally, design and implement robust and effective R&D processes and implement process management culture. We are now looking for an expert who will work closely with R&D process owners and process owners in other functions. You will have international exposure and work together with more than ten R&D sites all over the world. You will also work cross-functionally with other process owners in production, sourcing and aftermarket.
Key performance areas
As Process Excellence Specialist you will lead the deployment of Lean Six Sigma methodology and continuous improvement changes in the R&D business process within product development & global technology organization. You will also maintain state-of-the-art expertise in Lean, Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodology and tools.
Other responsibilities for this role are to:
- Implement cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
- Maintain monthly process metrics
- Facilitate training to process owners, global key users and other cross functional groups
- Employ Six Sigma methodology and analytics in business process changes within PD & GT
- Provide mentoring and guidance to process owners for business process change
- Support Lean & Six Sigma project selection
- Work with Black Belt and Green Belt certified professionals in the planning, designing, and accomplishing of key projects
- Track and report all project progress, successes and failures
- Promote the Lean and Six Sigma culture within the organization and promote the sharing of best practice and lessons learned
- Other job duties as assigned
This position includes traveling, about 30% of time to global R&D locations.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in a technical or business field and, preferably, with R&D experience and a Black Belt or Master Black Belt certificate in Design for Six Sigma. You have excellent skills in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. You also have good knowledge of English, both in writing and speaking; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
You have good interpersonal and communication skills combined with a good analytical ability. You are self-motivated, proactive and willing to take challenges.
