Process Expert for Production Planning

Production Technology, Process and Systems develop Sandvik Machining Solutions' (SMS) production processes, rules and guidelines and conduct training. Right now we are looking for a Process Expert for Production Planning, who will have insight into the SMS production set-up and a very good opportunity to shape the future SMS production processes and systems.

Key performance areas
As a Process Expert you will locate improvement areas, develop, improve and follow up working processes and systems for Production Planning. You will also set up guidelines and documentation for planning processes and follow up compliance. Further, your role will also include supporting and training of production units in planning processes and monitoring global processes.

Travelling is a part of the assignment and will include both short trips of one or a few days as well as longer trips. The number of trips will vary over time.

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or similar experience obtained from previous work. You have a solid theoretical and practical foundation from work in production and at least five years in a position in production planning or a similar field. You have a proven record of fostering change and building networks and are able to deliver results. Good knowledge of SMS production processes and systems is an advantage, as is knowledge in SMS supply chain and experience from working in ERP systems like SAP and Movex. To be well suited for this role, good communication skills in English, both written and verbal are a prerequisite, as are good skills in MS Office and Lotus Notes.
