Alfa Laval in Tumba is looking for a Process Test Engineer

The transformation from fossil to non-fossil-based chemicals has just started and all signs’ points towards a tremendous growth in a near future, into renewable chemicals, fuels, and plastics. We love centrifugal separation, and we are good at it(!) and now we want to tell the world about it! We are looking for a leader personality that is passionate about technical sales and want to take a global approach to drive the sales of high-speed separators (HSS) for sustainable chemical applications which is our focus area. ​

The Global Sales group in Business Unit Energy Separation is responsible for the sale of high-speed separator (HSS) systems to the Process, heavy and light industries sector. We sell customized solutions where the core component (HSS) is either offered as standalone units or integrated in complete systems.

About the job

Global technology engineer responsibilities include supporting the sales organization with mainly testing and when needed also commissioning. You are an expert in the HSS and the surrounding module and you are able to understand the customer surrounding process to place our system in it. Your work will be practical hands-on knowledge to make the systems work as needed on site at customer facility.

You will communicate and collaborate with sales colleagues, both centrally and in sales companies. With your process insights you will interact with customers for successful testing. You consider documenting and sharing learnings from tests and customer interaction as an important part of your role.

You will also deliver hands on technical support and training for employees, business partners and end-user customer to secure knowledge and inspire effective work, and work with R&D on customer adaptations of existing products.

The position will be based in Tumba and will require around 30-70 travel days per year.

Who are you?

We are looking for a technical person with process experience from renewable, chemical, or petrochemical industry. You have background in chemical process engineering or similar with a relevant field service engineering or commissioning background.

Knowledge of Alfa Laval or similar products is an advantage but not a strict requirement.

You are flexible, driven and result- and customer oriented. A big part of the work will involve interfacing with various Alfa Laval functions globally, such as Sales Companies, Engineering & Supply, Parts & Service, Marketing & Portfolio and R&D, as well as international customers from different countries and cultures.
