Procurement Agent to Modig Machine Tool AB, Sweden.

The proffesional role:

As the Procurement Agent you’re responsible for the sourcing, negotiating and contracting of all shop materials. Familiarity with buying machined components and various raw material commodities is beneficial. An understanding or previous experience with negotiating VOI (consignment) contracts with various suppliers. Inventory valuations will be conducted to develop procurement strategies that will reduce the total spend, improve payment terms, increase inventory turns and reduce the risk of shortages in the factory.

Establish contracts with key suppliers that results in a competitively bid inventory of high quality parts. They should be able to source globally and competitively. Establishing quality expectations for suppliers. This system should put quality parameters for inspection and measure part compliance acceptance in the factory. Quality/Delivery ratings will be established to reward and rate the supply base.

Utilizing the Modig MRP system will be critical as the company grows. Full utilization of the system should allow for increased forecasting accuracy of the production system to the supply base. Following up with suppliers to monitor delivery status is also key in this role.

As the Procurement Agent at Modig Machine Tool, you will have a unique opportunity to work in a smaller company with the ability to make the necessary decisions for success. This role has a significant importance due to the small size of the company and will report directly to the CEO. The company is experiencing significant growth and investing heavily. We are starting the construction of our new facility in Kalmar.

Qualifications:

- 4 year Degree or 10 years of appropriate experience
- Should possess good people skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
