About the position
Perido is looking for a Procurement assistant to our client, an independent and important agency of the European Union. The mission of this agency is to strengthen Europe’s defenses against infectious diseases and identify, assess, and communicate current and emerging threats to human health posed by infectious diseases. The position is placed at their office which is nicely located just outside of Stockholm city. After an introduction at the agency’s premises the work can proceed mainly from home due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. A step-by-step return to work can be expected.
Your daily tasks
In this position you will report to the Head of Procurement and provide interim services to the RMS Unit. In particular the Procurement team. This is what you’ll be working with:
Provide general administrative and clerical assistance and support the Procurement Section’s processes and workflows
Administrate correspondence and notifications to tenderers and contractors
Manage electronic and paper document; scan and archive documents according to the agency’s procurement archiving policy
Respond to queries and requests with a high level of service attitude, tact, discretion and confidentiality
Perform any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Support ongoing surveillance tasks and data analyses Comp
Your qualifications
In order to be successful in this role, you have a high level of responsibility and an ability to take initiative. You communicate efficiently in English at all levels internally and externally, in an appropriate manner and you always make sure to offer a high level of service orientation. Quality defines your work, and you are solution driven as well as an active listener. Furthermore, you can work under pressure and have great experience of organizing and prioritizing your work accordingly. We can also see that you are a true team player – with skills in team building and collaboration - even though you also work just as well independently with minimum supervision. Lastly, you know how to handle confidential information with discretion.

Requirements
Education at university level or relevant post-secondary education.
Proven experience in a financial/ administrative/ contracting environment
Experience and knowledge linked to the relevant aforementioned tasks
Basic knowledge of procurement/financial workflows
Good exposure and understanding of administrative processes and systems, ideally in the area of procurement
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office om particular Microsoft Excel
Excellent command of English; spoken and written.
Contract type and hours
Full-time assignment, until the end of September with the possibility of extension. Start as soon as possible.
