Our unique combination of process technology specialist skills and multidisciplinary engineering expertise enables us to provide real value add to our clients in all kind of studies, implementation projects as well as during daily operations of the industrial plant. Environmental, Health and Safety and other consulting assignments are done in co-operation with process technology specialist to enable the big picture and correlations with processes.
The Procurement Manager has the responsibility to lead, manage and control all procurement-related activities in the project to deliver on requirements, budget and schedule. The role belongs to line organisation Procurement and reports to Section Manager Procurement.
You will in this role represent the line organisation procurement, with responsibility for those commitments in earlier stages, made by you or by someone else in the line organisation procurement, are effectuated. These undertakings can be basis for calculus, liabilities in frame agreements, purchase strategies, availability and so on.
In this role you will have the right to perform all purchases in the project and purchasing merchandise according to your delegacy. However, the purchases are always prepared by teamwork, where design, production and project management knowledge, experiences and strategies are used in relevant parts. Often the actual purchase is done in teams. Your role is responsible for the purchases being done according to company quality- and environment policy
At project kick off the Project Management and Procurement Manager decide:
Purchase goals for the project
If the purchase rights for certain purchases shall be delegated to another person/team
If certain conditions shall be valid for certain purchases
Together with product group responsible aid project engineer with prices for calculus.
Participate in setting up the supplier list for continued projecting and from Preferred Supplier List get clients approval, if that happens.
Together with project engineer participate in production of purchase strategies, dividing of purchase packs and in the production of boundary lists.
Be responsible for eventually early purchasing of strategic entrepreneurs respective material.
Form a list with actual lead times aid project planning with logistical lead times.
Participate in the activities that is in the Gate model and that borders to procurement responsibility area.
Set up a Procurement plan (time- and responsibility base for project planning).
Set up a Purchase budget extraction of purchase packs of project budget.
Together with project manager set up a Goal budget for procurement.
Together with Project management form purchase strategies.
Be responsible for setting up Administrative directions for the project
Be responsible for the agreement legal part o time. And cost follow up for subcontractors during production phase.
Delegate procurement purchasers.
Give basis for Progress reports and forecasts, that are passed on to each project engineer.
Assemble responsible purchaser, project engineer, delivery manager/installation manager within every discipline for supplier evaluation.
The duties of the Procurement Manager comprise the following leadership tasks:
Lead the Procurement Team
Lead the application of Procurement Management Processes according to the AFRY rules including the respective tools
Lead in the safe-keeping and archiving of all procurement-related documentation at all stages of project execution
Supervise the work and evaluate performance of the procurement team members (with support from the Lead Discipline Engineers) and give feedback.
Internal contacts: Project Engineer, Line organisation Procurement, Delivery Manager/Installation Manager, Supply Manager, Project Manager
External contacts: Suppliers, Subcontractors
Qualifications
Education
Technical secondary school degree or equivalent
Additional education in economics or equivalent
Purchase education
Experience
We see that you should have a documented experience in purchasing in relevant industry for at least 3 years. Further you need to have experience with negotiation and agreement work. Do you have experience in off-shore/naval business is an advantage
Hard Skills
Competence about legal agreements
Good PC-knowledge in appropriate parts
Knowledge in the company ERP system
Relevant skills within NL, Orgalime, AB04, ABT06, ABA 99 etc
Master technical Swedish
Master spoken and written English, additional language skills is an advantage
Deviation from above competencies can be compensated through longer purchase experience
Soft Skills
Analytical ability to establish and drive the procurement plan
Ability to coordinate purchasing activities both internal and external
Driving force for own competence development.
