We are recruiting a Procurement Manager to lead our Procurement organization. The Procurement Manager is responsible for the procurement organization and its performance. As a Procurement Manager you will lead your team with 5 directly reporting employees, as well as several matrix reporting employees. You will report directly to the plant director.
Your role
As a Procurement Manager you will have the main responsibility for the procurement of quality-assured equipment, articles, goods, and service to competitive prices. You will be the interface between the Plant and the Procurement organization for all Direct and Indirect material related matters, including Supplier Quality.
Besides leading, coaching and developing your team, your key responsibilities will be:
• Manage all required activities in the plant to achieve Quality, Cost and Delivery targets (QCD) with suppliers.
• Prioritize local resolution of issues but escalate to procurement leadership when needed, including SQ Leaders for supplier-related quality issues.
• Responsible for targeted savings on Direct and Indirect Material at plant level
• Responsible for VaVe performance and product productivity at plant level by acting as change leader, initiating workshops & driving implementation with support of other functions.
• Support the organization in procurement/negotiation queries / Support Programme Procurement activities for local commodities and suppliers
• Ensure transparency, accuracy and timely update of material savings initiatives in alignment with plant controllers/Finance
• Act with integrity and full respect of business ethics. Comply with business unit and company policies, procedures and DOA requirements
• Evaluate make vs buy opportunities
• Support process in case of local sub-contracting

About you
Your background covers several years of procurement experience in an industrial environment supplemented by a Master/Bachelor’s Degree in a business or engineering discipline with specialization in international procurement.
