We are the only ones with the capacity to receive and handle the largest ocean-going vessels. APM Terminals Nordics handle more than 50% of imports and exports in Denmark and Sweden.
Our current Procurement Officer at APM Terminals Aarhus is pursuing his next career step within the APMM Group, therefor we are now looking for his replacement.
Your employment will be with APM Terminals Nordic, but you will be reporting directly to the Regional Procurement Lead of APMT in Copenhagen with a local reporting line to the CFO of APM Terminals Nordic who is based in Gothenburg. The position can be based in either Gothenburg or Aarhus. Some travel between the two locations should be expected.

You will have one colleague in Gothenburg and two dedicated colleagues in our Shared Services Center ‘The Purchasing Hub’ in Tangiers, Morocco in your team.
This is a very varied role where you will build strong relationships with people on the workshop floor, the management of the terminal as well as the global procurement function. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all parts of the running of the terminals – both the strategic and transactional.
Key responsibilities
You need to be able to understand both the commercial and the operational side of the terminals to become a trusted advisor and support in situations where we rely on external suppliers to keep the terminals running.
Your key responsibilities will be to add value through:
· successfully matching our global category strategies and priorities to local needs and opportunities. And maintain a strong feedback loop to the global teams.
· actively managing the supplier base of the terminals.
· safeguarding the supplier related controls posture and ensure strong cost management though compliance to Procurement processes and tools.
· automating the ordering of Products and Services through our digital tools and offshore transactional tasks to our shared services center.
· owning and executing the annual Procurement plan to connect the terminals to best of breed supplier to optimize cost and enable innovation.
Who we are looking for
We believe that you have a strong interpersonal skill with the ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders (both blue and white collar) in order to achieve your goals. We think you have a good understanding of strategic procurement and RFx processes. Ideally, also experience in contract implementation. To succeed in this role, you understand the Requisition-to-Pay processes and the operational aspects of execution of them. For us a positive and curious mindset is key.
We also believe that you have a structured working approach and analytical mindset. Experience with LEAN is a plus but you can expect to be trained in the ‘APMT Way of Working’ based upon learnings from some of the best of breed LEAN based companies around the world.
Being part truly diverse and global company requires you to be a strong communicator in written and spoken English. You do not need to be bi-lingual in Swedish and Danish, but you need to be able to communicate with colleagues and suppliers speaking either Danish or Swedish and handle a contract in those languages from time to time.
Probably you have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, logistics, supply chain management, business or similar, and we think that you have worked at least 2-4 years in relevant area.
