Valmet Pulp and Energy business line provides technologies and solutions for pulp and energy production as well as for biomass conversion. The pulp projects range from process equipment deliveries to complete pulp mills. Valmet energy solutions include biomass-based energy boilers for municipalities and industry. In addition, Valmet continuously develops new biomass conversion technologies.
Job description
Valmet is looking for a Procurement Professional who can lead, coordinate, and execute procurement work in Valmet projects, ensuring there is a competent, competitive, and timely supplier base. You work in close cooperation with several functions in Gothenburg such as project management and engineering within Valmet P&E business line and Valmet indirect procurement function in Sweden.
Key responsibilities with the role include:
Act as procurement lead in assigned projects (Customer / Internal)
Responsible for a specific category group
Responsible for Indirect procurement on a local level
Lead negotiations within Engineering on a national level
Contract management including contract and business negotiations
Define and ensure implementation of long-term cost savings
Supplier relationship management
Conduct sourcing work

Requirements
To be successful in the position you need to be result oriented and business driven. You will need extensive experience from team leadership and business negotiations. Experience from similar positions in international business environments is considered as an advantage. You have relevant education, preferably engineering or commercial university degrees. You are skilled in business analytics in order to run with swift and fact-based decisions.
Your personal characteristics include strong communication and intercultural negotiation skills. You have an open and cooperative attitude and desire to make good results for and success within Valmet. Your English is fluent, both oral and written. System knowledge such as MS office and ERP (LN in Valmet) is required.
The position requires some travelling due to cooperation with domestic and international supplier, and location is Gothenburg.
