Procurement Project Manager

The role

As procurement project manager, you will work in modification & upgrade projects, new development projects or marketing projects for submarines and surface ships. In your role, you will be part of a cross-functional project management team with members from Design & Engineering, Sourcing & Supply and Production. As project manager, you will lead project teams consisting of several different functions within the Sourcing & Supply organization, e.g. Strategic Byers, Supplier Quality Engineers and Material Planners. On top of your project manager role, you will also be responsible for creating, managing and maintaining material budgets for assigned projects.

Areas of responsibility:

* Organize, plan, lead and follow up project activities
* Continuously report project status, verbally and in written
* Manage resource planning
* Manage and follow up hourly budget
* Create, manage and maintain material budgets.

This position will be based in Malmö. The role include frequent business travels between Saab Kockums sites and business trips to suppliers both in Sweden and abroad may occur.

Your profile

You have an academic degree in Science, Engineering or Business/Economics. Your strengths are communication, creating lasting relationships and building long-term networks. You know how to navigate in a complex matrix organization where you have several stakeholders to manage.

As a person, you are self-motivated, goal oriented and you lead yourself and others in a structured and accurate way. You have already established yourself as a project manager and have at least 3-5 years relevant experience. As several of our suppliers are international, good English skills, both verbally and in written, are required. Having previous experience from working with material budgets is an advantage.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
