Procurement Project Manager Sub-contracting

Your role

As procurement project manager sub-contracting, you will be part of the development and production of new submarines for the Swedish navy. You will be part of a cross-functional project team with members from Design & Engineering, Sourcing & Supply and Production.

Your main responsibility will be to lead and manage all aspects of sub-contracted manufacturing. In your role you work closely with several manufacturing partners, mainly situated in Sweden but also in other countries within Europe. You will lead a sub-project consisting of several different functions within the Sourcing & Supply organization, e.g. Strategic Byers and Supplier Quality Managers and you will work closely with colleagues within Design & Engineering, Planning and Production, foremost design engineers, planners and production specialists.

Areas of responsibility:

* Organize, plan, lead and follow up project activities
* Work with continuous improvements regarding our processes
* Continuously report project status, verbally and in written
* Manage resource planning
* Create, manage and follow up assigned budgets



This position will be based in Malmö. The role requires business trips to our suppliers both in Sweden and abroad as well as to our site in Karlskrona.

Your profile

You have an academic degree, preferably a Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering. It is an advantage if you have design experience and/or previous experience from working with sub-contracted manufacturing. You have excellent planning and communication skills and you excel in creating lasting business relationships both internally and externally. You know how to navigate in a complex matrix organization where you have several stakeholders to manage.

As a person, you are self-motivated, goal oriented and you lead yourself and others in a structured and accurate way. You have already established yourself as a project manager and have at least 10 years relevant experience. Good English and Swedish skills, both verbally and in written, is required.
