Procurement Specialist

We are building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe and construction is set to begin in 2023. To make that happen we need the best to join our in-house Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) team. About the role

- Act as the main point of contact for suppliers and the internal stakeholders related to defined construction procurement activities for the new project.
- Overall responsible for activities concerning sourcing, negotiating, and managing suppliers and thereby meeting the budget, schedule, and overall objectives.
- Within your obligations, prepare and keep an up-to-date procurement plan in coordination with the construction team and according to the construction schedule.
- Validate and approve contractor purchases to ensure compliance to the process and for a strong cost base.
- Support, validate and approve Contractors purchases to ensure compliance to the sourcing process and to guarantee NOVO’s best interest.
- Evaluate suppliers in pricing, quality, sustainability, volume, and deliverables.
- In co-operation with the organisation, take initiative to continuous improvements.

Your profile

In your previous professional work, you have experience from sourcing activities preferably in the construction industry or large industrial projects including supplier evaluation, the complete RFP-process, supplier selection, and presentations to the sourcing management team. You have worked in a multi-cultural environment with suppliers and colleagues from all over the world.

Education and experience

- Preferably knowledge in General Conditions of Contract for Building, Civil Engineering Works, Building Services, as well as for electrical/mechanical equipment and installations e.g AB 04, ABT 06, ABK 09.
- Local awareness and knowledge about Swedish (Scandinavian) procurement procedures. Experience from Swedish construction or industrial sites is preferred.
- A relevant university degree or equivalent work experience.
- Has participated in construction projects with considerable multidisciplinary complexity (e.g., lab/industrial mechanical, electrical and pipe builds, EPC programs, projects with stringent safety requirements).
- + 10 years of experience from industrial projects or roles within relevant areas.

Specific skills

- Excellent English written and oral skills. Swedish is a plus.
- Valuable if you have worked in multi-cultural environment.
- Highly organized and results driven.
- Proactive in solving problems and anticipating/avoiding schedule slips.
- Has a “can do” attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit.
