Product management centres on understanding customer needs and the competitive landscape in order to improve the offering to our customers and thereby increasing our volumes and margins.
At Industries and Applications we are knowledgeable and act as the backbone for selected applications and industries. With a strong business mind, securing application and market development, always with the customer’s value in focus.
What you will do
Your main responsibility is to secure the business development within your assigned areas (application, industry, market or special assignment) in close cooperation with S&M, and other main stakeholders: Commercial Operations, R&D, Distributors, Bodybuilders, OEMs and Laxå.
You will be demanded to technically understand the product and its interfaces with bodybuilders, here Sales Engineering analysis are required. Also there will be a number of product and business strategies set by the Product Manager within the applications you are assigned for which you will take ownership. And actively work on their implementation.
When it comes to product development, you are in close contact to the Product Planning group in order to challenge R&D to deliver solutions that enable us to reach our long term application sales targets. As a Product Analyst you are supported by other experienced Product Managers and the responsible Product Director to successfully reach the goals.
Who you are
You should have interest and experience in working with both Scania’s Product and commercial offering. Experiences in areas such Sales Engineering, Business Units, Special Orders are a plus.
As a person you need to be flexible and appreciate a mixture of both hands-on straight forward tasks as analytic skills, and handle the Microsoft Office package with ease.
The role will take you to many different environments, internally as well as externally specially within European countries, so you will need to be competent in handling cultural differences and to have good English skills. Swedish is not required.
