ECAPS a Bradford Space subsidiary, is today in transition period, working intensely implementing a Quality Management System and will expand its quality team with a Product Assurance/Quality Assurance Engineer. ECAPS develops thrusters and propulsion systems for use on satellites with unique and environmentally friendly technology. The role is suitable for you who have previous experience of product assurance and/or quality control and want to be part of an exciting journey.

ECAPS is a leading manufacturer and unique in its kind of spacecraft thrusters that use environmentally benign propellant, which is a green and safer alternative to conventional toxic rocket propellants. The ECAPS team consists of 25 highly qualified researchers and engineers with a proven track record in the areas of design, manufacturing, testing and integration of propulsion systems. ECAPS is a workplace with many specialists who works together towards a common goal. They share knowledge and skills among them and are happy to celebrate each other’s success. ARBETSUPPGIFTER
As a Product Assurance/Quality Assurance Engineer, you are responsible for the quality process in a project regarding design, control, methodologies, and techniques results in the agreed quality level of ECAPS and of the customer. You act as an independent person within the organization where you will be the focal point within a project for all quality related issues. This position requires high demands on quality awareness, methodology and documentation where you will do everything from review of drawings to compliance checks of parts, products and verification of processes both at ECAPS and your sub-suppliers.


* Monitor all quality aspects necessary to achieve the quality level as determined by ECAPS and the customer.
* Manage Product Assurance/Quality Assurance requirements in design, development, operations, and test.
* Validate hardware supplies of flight parts including dimensional and visual inspections.
* Identify and help solve problems that pose a risk for product quality and safety.
* Ensure configuration management of products.
* Coordinate non-conformances (NC, RFW, RFD etc.).
* Prepare and manage mandatory inspection points (MRR, TRR, TRB) and customer audits.
* Design verification of thrusters


We are looking for you who


* Has an engineering degree in, for example, Engineering Physics or Master Programme in Space Engineering
* Has previous experience of product assurance and/or quality control and quality processes.
* Fluent in Swedish and English (speaking and writing)


Meritorious:


* Experience of both quality and technical development obtained in the space industry, ESA or NASA or comparable.
* Experience in product inspection following industry standards.
* Knowledge of AS 9100, ECSS and ISO9001.
* Experience in audits, reviews, and data pack generation.
