Product Area Director Air Distribution Products and Fire Safety

Systemair is now recruiting a Product Area Director for the Business Areas Air Distribution Products which contains, diffusers, grilles, air volume control and Business Area Fire Safety which contains fire and smoke dampers.

As a Product Area Director, you will play an important role for the future of Systemair and the businesses profitability in the product line of these Business Areas. You get the opportunity to travel and work in an international environment. The main international brands here are Systemair and Koolair.

In this role you will have the overall responsibility for the entire product strategy, including the positioning of the different brands in various markets. You will be in close contact with other companies and departments within Systemair, such as R&D, Sales, Marketing and Product Managers. The PAD will also have the role of a commercial coordinator between brands and markets.

Essential for the role is to manage and execute a global strategy about products, brands and positioning of different brands of this Business Areas with a focus on market requirements.

You will report directly to Global Product Director.

Main duties and responsibilities will include


• Define the multiple brand strategy and the positioning in different markets.
• Guide and lead the Product Managers from the different factories belonging to your Business Area
• Defines the product strategy aligned with the overall strategy of the group
• Manages the execution of the multi-year roadmap for the portfolio and the product life cycle (launch to end-of-life) strategy.
• Understand market requirements and market & technology trends for current and future products.
• Develops and communicates compelling Value Proposition together with the Product Managers
• Drive the strategic pricing decisions together with the Local MDs
• Commercial coordinators to avoid internal cannibalism on the sales.
• Monitors competition with respect to market performance, product portfolio and product performance
• Participates in technical meetings, conferences, workshops, industry days, trade shows and association events  

 Qualifications and Experience


• Master of science or similar education
• Good technical understanding
• Good knowledge on pricing strategies and methods
• Experience on handling multiple brands inside a group
• Experience from the HVAC market

Personal Qualities


• Motivating leadership skills
• Taking initiatives and have good skills in creating long lasting relations
• Languages: excellent English, oral and written. Further language skills
are beneficial
