Strategic product management is a vital role in driving business growth and create and maintain a competitive product and offering portfolio serving our customers with the right solutions.

To strengthen our strategic product management function and focus, Systemair will recruit a role as Product Area Director with the responsibility of overseeing all product management activities in the product area Heating.

About The Job
Product Area Director at Systemair is responsible for identifying customer needs, capturing market/industry trends, and ensuring that the customer insight is transformed into a competitive and complete product and solutions offering for Systemair customers from any of our Systemair sites.

As Product Area Director, you are also responsible for aligning internal stakeholders and resources in developing and bringing to market competitive and customer centric product and solution offerings, control product and positioning and creating a superior customer experience.

Your responsibilities among others include:


• Drive change to optimize our product and offerings portfolio for Heating creating a complete value proposition with the goal of increasing competitiveness and improving profit margins.
• Lead, coach, and develop product management team within airborne Heating organization.
• Mandate to define, drive and manage global portfolios during its entire lifecycle in line with overall strategy of the Group.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain Strategic Product Roadmap and Plans for Product and Solution portfolios in cooperation with local PM teams.
• Govern EU regulations and other relevant policy regulations
• Portfolio management of global and local portfolios
• Drive gross margin development of global portfolios during their lifecycle in cooperation with Sales, pricing management and local management.
• Secure buy-in and involvement from relevant MDs and BBs for needed investments/initiatives for the regional/local ranges.
• Be an active stakeholder in development and maintenance of Digital Tools
• Functional input to development and management of digital tools
• Together with the respective Product Marketing Manager, customize product messaging, positioning, Features, Advantages and Benefits (FAB) as well as unique selling/buying propositions for the respective product area.
• Contribute relevant content, user success stories, reference cases and trainings to drive profitable growth in your respective product/business area.

In this role you contribute significantly to the organic growth and thus financial development of Systemair. It is central in achieving the long-term goals of the Group.

The location for this position is flexible throughout Europe, but preferably close to one of our Systemair offices. You will report to the Vice President Products and Technologies.

About You

We are looking for someone with a relevant degree and a minimum of 15 years’ experience in a Strategic Product management and/or commercial development area (B2B or B2B2C) or similar.

Experience of developing and implementing strategic product management processes with a commercial and customer centric focus, preferably related to a complex portfolio within a multi-channel environment, in a decentralized corporation is a plus.

A higher education (BSc, MSc or similar) in engineering, marketing, business administration or similar is preferred and besides your demonstrated strong leadership traits, you should have excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen. 

You are a strong communicator, and your English is excellent both verbally and in writing. You work proficiently with ERP and CRM systems but feel confident also in standard Microsoft Office Tools. Experience from Infor M3 and Qlik sense is considered a plus.
