Product Area Lead for Ground Truth Production

Annotell started in 2018, with the mission to make safe perception for autonomous mobility possible. To achieve this, we have created the Annotell platform where our customers easily can handle all of their automotive data under one roof. We are an ambitious team building a global company together. We are now looking for someone to lead our annotation product forward.

The Product
Creating annotation tools has been our core business since the beginning of Annotell; our customers rely on high-quality ground truth to train their machine learning models and verify their performance and quality. With our product, you can annotate 2D and 3D data with support for sensor fusion, sequences, and properties and using much supportive functionality. The product also includes several speed and quality-enhancing machine learning models and tools. We tailored it specifically to serve the needs for autonomous mobility.

The Team
The team works with everything from data ingestion, annotation tools, and delivery to perception engineers. You will work with a group of driven product developers skilled in backend and frontend development, UX design, statistics, and machine learning to build high-quality products that solve our customers’ annotation needs. Your product area is a significant part of Annotell’s Engineering department.

The Role
As Product Area Lead for Ground Truth Production, you lead, coach, and manage the teams and the staff. You will initially have around ten direct reports in two teams, and you are responsible for the employee lifecycle, including the salary and performance review. Annotell is scaling up, and attracting and recruiting top-performing talents of various skill sets is key to your success. As a Product Area Lead, we expect you to work both on a tactical and strategic level to ensure the teams have the foundation to succeed. You ensure that the teams’ objectives and missions inspire the delivery of a world-class platform. You administer the product area budget. You are a member of the Engineering Management Team and report to the VP of Engineering.

- Proven leadership skills

- Experience working strategically in product development
- Good understanding of machine-learning-driven applications
- Good technical understanding

- Experience from the annotation industry

- Experience working with the automotive industry
