We are now looking for a Product Area Manager to lead our Evaluate & Decide product area within the Customer domain of our H&M Business Tech organization.
About this Product Area:
Evaluate & Decide is a new area we are creating within the Customer domain. This area focuses on the latter stage of the purchase journey, providing our customers with a relevant experience and information to help them make a confident purchase decision on our products, increasing our conversion and reducing unnecessary returns. This product area includes products such as Fit & Keep Product Story, Customer Feedback, and Experimentation. This area will take an omni-scope, considering digital and store channels, as well as all brands and regions across the H&M Group.




Job Description


You will co-lead the Evaluate & Decide product area, currently consisting of 8 product teams (approximately 70-120 people), together with the Product Area Lead Engineer.
As Product Area Manager, you will develop a product vision and strategy for Evaluate & Decide together with your team, your peers, and your stakeholders. You will lead the organization to deliver business value, both short- and long-term, by securing operations; developing and optimizing our digital experience and features; and identifying and investing in underlying digital capabilities and infrastructure, always with our customers at the center.
You will also be part of the Customer domain leadership team, where you will work closely with your fellow Product Area Managers to identify dependencies and align roadmaps as well as progress our digital transformation. In addition, you will build trusted relationships with collaboration partners across the H&M Group, inside and outside of Business Tech, and work closely with relevant partners to align the product area strategy with our brand strategies.
You will have staff responsibility for all Product Owners and Competence Leads for Business Experts in the area, supporting their growth and development as well as recruiting new talent. Together with your co-lead, you will support the product teams in your area to take a more customer-centric, agile approach (e.g., taking data-driven decisions, practicing a hypothesis-led approach).
Your responsibilities will include:
Define high-level KPIs and targets for the entire Product Area and align them with the respective Product Owners, supporting a data-driven environment
Support the product teams in day-to-day priorities and product demos, and lead regular product area demos to provide transparency and gain input across the organization
Conduct quarterly business reviews to set clear direction, aligning the Customer domain direction and product team direction
Identify and manage dependencies within the Product Area and across other Product Areas, working closely with other Product Areas, especially Inspire & Discover and Guide & Locate
Manage the area budget, taking accountability for the financial impact incurred by leveraged resources and solutions in the product teams of the Product Area
Employ servant-leadership to coach and empower Product Owners and product teams, supporting them to increase the speed and impact of their work
Recruiting, coaching, and managing employees and consultants in your area with direct reports.
Responsibility for overall work environment of your team including creating an explorative environment and culture that embraces acting, learning, and adapting

We also believe that you have:
The ability to successfully lead an organization with 70-150 employees and 8-14 product teams in an agile environment.
Extensive experience in product management and product leadership with 10-15+ years in product or product related roles, including experience within a large organization.
Background in retail and eCommerce (5+ years), including experience working with customer-facing channels.
Experience setting a product vision and KPIs and building an end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for multiple products
Comfort distilling data and insights into strong hypothesis, developing business cases, and using analytics to take data-driven decision

Have strong problem-solving skills – able to find solutions in complex situations and involve various stakeholder.
Have experience with OKR Methodologies.
Fluency in business English.

Location: Stockholm preferred
