Group Data and Analytics is a function with the aim to shape and execute our Analytics and AI strategy, vision and to ensure cross-functional execution for Ericsson to transform into an Intelligent enterprise.
AI and Data is a key theme for Ericsson to become data driven, and we continue to build up world class competence in this area to increase performance, deliver intelligence and to ensure, secure and scalable development, deployment and continued operations of Analytics and AI solutions including Data Services. One important component of this delivery is to enable Self Service access to the Data & Analytics offerings, whereas we help other units to become data driven through a number of tools and methodologies via a Self Service portal & a Data Catalog.
Position Summary
The Product Area Manager (PAM) will lead a portfolio of products, including portfolio strategy, roadmap and budget. The PAM will be the line manager of the Digital Product Owners (DPOs) within the product area. The PAM ensure that our global services are delivering business value in a cost-effective way. The PAM achieve this by continuously evolving the product portfolio, as end-user needs change. The PAM has a strong network to understand the Ericsson ecosystem and the product range across the organization.
The PAM of the Self Service Data & Analytics product area will be a key member of the leadership team driving the Self Service agenda. This individual will also serve as a key member of the unit’s Think Tank, formulating its vision, mission, goals. The PAM is expected to build and develop the Self Service offering including defining the content, functionality and user journeys.
The PAM will collaborate closely with Chapter leads. Key stakeholders include IT leadership team members, business representatives, Lighthouses and other Product Area Managers as well as Vendors.
You will be responsible for:
• Line manager responsibilities, including:
• People Management, including recruiting, driving IPM (Individual Performance Management), competence development and career progressions
• Financial planning, forecasting and follow-up
• Defining & optimizing strategy, roadmap and execution to establish Self Service Data & Analytics Product Area
• Defining and forecasting product team needs to enable successful execution & make official requests to the Product Alignment Forum
• Prioritizing objectives for product teams and monitor portfolio performance
• Leading DPOs in product delivery by resolving prioritization and dependencies
• Manage stakeholders and dependencies across the organization
• Advocate for increased Self Service approaches to meet Data & Analytics needs in a product-oriented execution model
To be successful in the role we believe you should have the following qualifications and skills:
• University degree in business administration, system management or similar
• Significant experience leading technology and cross geographical teams
• Experience from implementation and adoption of new products in larger organizations is an advantage
• Deep level of understanding and experience in digital platforms, analytics platforms and tools, digital user experience and user interfaces
• General IT System and Process knowledge
• Proven leadership, interest and desire to lead people
• Portfolio & project management Skills
• Business understanding, requirements analysis and committed to enable value delivery
• Knowledge sharing & collaboration skills
• Deciding and initiating actions
• Technical experience to understand how to architect a product portfolio
• Good understanding of the Ericsson ecosystem and extensive network
• Commitment and ability to work in Ericsson's new way of working
