What you will be a part of
Group ICT, Saabs IS/IT delivery organization, provides all of Saab common IT-related services, which include technology solutions, applications, development, management, operation and support. ICT defines and develops new IT services as well as operation and support of existing IT services.
To improve and accelerate global standardization and governance, ICT also ensure that global and local support is seamlessly integrated into one support system. Group ICT is going throught an organizational change and the idea with the new organization is to clarify global management vs regional, local support and delivery. Which will lead to better focuses on change and improved global service.
A key function in the build up of the new organisation is the establishement of a strong product management organisation where this role will be of useful importance for the future of Saabs global IT infrastructure



Your role
Your role will be Product Area Owner (PAO) for the product area IT Infrastructure. The IT infrastructure is the basis on which other IT services will be dependent on. It includes for example the Saab Common Network, the Saab Client Platform, datacenters, development environments, communication solutions and integration platforms.
The PAO is responsible for the product life cycle management (PLCM) of a portfolio of products (services, systems and solutions). This role operates at a strategic and tactical level, making product decisions over the entire life cycle leading to products which are strategically correct, commercially viable, financially sound, technically feasible, effectively communicated, delivered and supported.
The PAO shall identify market and customer needs to ensure that the IT product and service portfolio are developed to meet current and future requirements to add value to the Saab group. Furthermore, the PAO shall monitor advances in technology, investigate and propose how this can be used as a leverage to strengthen and develop Saabs IT solutions to bring more business value. Focus areas are the initial phases, strategy and design, which include market analysis, strategic planning and product planning. Input on current products and services from customers, users and operations are important for the development of the portfolio

Your skills and experience
We believe that you have a strong and solid background, MSc in Engineering or equivalent. You have worked with IT infrastructure on a both operational and strategic level for several years. You are update with the latest trends in IT infrastructure and understand how these can be applied in a complex R&D organisation such as Saab. Experience from a R&D positon within complex system development or from developing IT services within system development will be very positive.
To be succesful in this role you need to be curious, creative and an active listener to understand the business needs.
You speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
