We are an engineering department of about 200 product development engineers who design and install chassis components for heavy duty vehicles - e.g. chassis frame, engine and/or motor installation, chassis suspension, cooling, axles, brakes, battery installation, fuel and air tanks, and many more. In close co-operation with colleagues from other parts of the Volvo Group, we are responsible to develop the future of transportation and ensure seamless use of the vehicles by our customers.

During your days with us


You coordinate the technical development of solutions for Volvo heavy duty trucks range (FH/FM). You are responsible to consolidate and organize the output of chassis engineering department for your assigned introduction year.
You are responsible to coordinate, prioritize and monitor technical product deliveries (systems and solutions). You consolidate time plans, budgets, prototype build plans and technical information flows from chassis department with different stakeholders – e.g. engineering, manufacturing, aftermarket, brands. You represent the department and summarize reports for the different fora for endorsement and/or decision. You are the single point of contact for chassis engineering when pre-production vehicles are built in the factories.
In parallel, you are appointed as Agile Epic Owner in selected product developments. In this role, you have the responsibility to ensure the complete product delivery is executed and secured in line with the milestones and directives.
You report to the Section Manager of Chassis Complete.

Requirements
Master’s degree in Mechanical engineering or Bachelor with minimum 5 years of relevant professional work experience.
Experience from product development is a must.
Passion to do things right for the customer.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Good to have
Experience from automotive industry is appreciated.
Knowledge from product development of heavy-duty vehicles is a merit.
