You will be part of the Ports business line within the Marine and Ports division. We offer an international and dynamic working environment where our business delivers advanced technology in large projects across the world in a customer-oriented and highly globalized industry.


We are looking for a Product Classification Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will be overall responsible to maintain and encourage colleagues to follow the established processes for classification of Products and executing Product classification work. He/she will connect with other areas such as Procurement & Logistics/Product Management/Sales/R&D to successfully perform the activities.
Your responsibilities
Review existing product master data for determining the accuracy of the Customs Tariff Numbers (CTNs, HS codes) and the Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN/ECN) and update if needed.
Maintain high knowledge of current rules and regulations regarding classification of products.
Conduct the classification work for the new products that are to be released to the market.
Document how products have been classified, both for the customs purposes (HS codes, CTNs) and for the export control purposes (ECCN, ECN codes).
Participate in projects or initiatives to improve the work of classification of Products or resolve gaps or problems identified, also build while enforcing the product classification processes.
Deliver in-house training and understanding to business colleagues where necessary.

Your background
Minimum two years of higher education or vocational training in the field of transport and logistics.
A good understanding of technical specifications, performance characteristics and descriptions of manufacturing materials.
Experience in Product Classification and international trade compliance.
Strong general analytical skills, including the ability to apply regulatory concepts and definitions as well as ABB classification strategies to the case-by-case determination of product classifications.
Ability to establish and coordinate a network of contacts to work within the Organization.
Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
Knowledge of Customs Tariff Numbers.
Fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.
