Let us describe the challenge we offer
The Polestar product portfolio will gain three new premium performance electric vehicles over the next three years - the Polestar 3, Polestar 4 and Polestar 5. To support this expansion, a new communications function focuses specifically on the products. This role as Product Communications Lead will report to and support the global Head of Product Communications in launching and managing all product-related communications.
The position is based at our HQ in Sweden, and you will need to be based in, or relocate to, Gothenburg in Sweden. A regular programme of international travel should be expected, depending on global health circumstances.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop and maintain the awareness, consideration, and positive perception of the Polestar brand and its products with journalists, influencers and other key stakeholders in all relevant markets. You will co-develop a working strategy to successfully manage the rapidly expanding product portfolio and strategise on vehicle launch schedules.
Further on, the role includes completing all planned projects by reaching targeted KPIs, within budget. Another great responsibility will be to coordinate with other Polestar global- and regional PR and Communications team members, and the global Brand and Marketing team, to design, develop and implement content and media strategies that represent the company’s products, services, brand, industrial operations, business plan and strategy, and senior management.
Additionally, you will:
- Collaborate with the Events team to plan and develop the product-focused launch communication plans for new and existing (updated) products as well as planning and executing global and national press test-drive events
- Act as a Polestar spokesperson by co-creating and developing product communication plans, Q&A, press releases, etc. for planned activities, targeting relevant media groups
- Assist in managing Polestar’s external communication editorial calendar to ensure consistent flow of Polestar news and editorial opportunities
Who you are

You should have strong ability to align and network with colleagues and external influencers such as journalists and industry organisations. You should also be excited to learn and be challenged whilst constantly improving.
Additionally, we are searching for someone with the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in communications or journalism
- More than ten years working experience in Public Relations and Communications, with at least five years at a large multinational corporation
- Luxury/premium automotive industry working background is essential
- Experience working with, and managing, agencies and consultants, and managing budgets
- Have a strong oral, editing and writing skills in English
