The Global Product Compliance Department is responsible for setting requirements for the H&M group’s consumer products according to legislation for all channels and markets. This includes product safety, labelling, chemical and physical test methods.

We are now looking for a physical specialist that will be responsible for all legal physical material and product standards and requirements including product safety for the H&M Group. You will focus on textile products, leather - including footwear, bags and belts.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
Set, implement, update and follow up on legal and safety requirements and routines concerning the products’ physical properties
Interpret rules and regulations and put them into a relevant context
Carry out and coordinate expansion research for new markets. This includes product requirements, regulations on certification and other conformity assessment procedures
Carry out and coordinate expansion research for new product types
Work proactively to identify potential product safety risks
Create workable guidelines and routines for the buying office and supply chain to secure that products are compliant
Support supply chain on legal and safety related material and product standards and requirements for H&M Group's existing 70+ sales markets
Develop and set new test methods and routines within your field when required
Support and train colleagues within your field when required
Participate in working groups and other external forums within your field
Qualifications
We are looking for you who:
Have at least a few years of practical experience within a relevant field
A possible degree as a textile engineer or similar
Have good knowledge within relevant product field
Have ability to foresee the consequences of decisions
Have ability to turn complex information into simple and workable guidelines and routines
Are structured and organized with analytical skills
Have good networking and communication skills
Have excellent written and spoken English
Team player that lives by H&M values
