Product Cybersecurity Engineer

About the position
Responsibilities of this position rely on your passion for cybersecurity area as well as your potential and willingness to grow together to be able to “See your company through the eyes of a hacker”.


You will perform and facilitate threat analysis and risk assessment activities in the context of electrical and/or electronic systems of our current and future products
You will support product development by proposing security mechanisms and technical solutions so that the identified cybersecurity risks can be mitigated and maintained at acceptable levels
You contribute to the development of future electrical and software architecture to improve safety and security of our products and services. Activities are, for example, gaining knowledge about our current electrical and software architecture, understanding state-of-the-art and state-of-the-practice, investigating new concepts and solutions, demonstrating proof-of-concept of selected solutions
Depending on your interest, you have opportunity of participating in research and advanced engineering activities. In addition, you have possibility of supporting the team that is defining Cybersecurity Management Systems

Who are we?
“Infrastructure Capabilities” Group within Electrical and Software Architecture is responsible for cybersecurity solutions in the EE architecture as well as leading architectural investigations for infrastructure capabilities in our computational, signal and energy distribution system for trucks. We are 22 persons in total in the Group and the Cybersecurity Team consists of 12 persons.
 
Cybersecurity Team is Center of Excellence and Expertise in Product Cybersecurity within Volvo Group Trucks Technology. We make up a solid foundation of competence within Volvo Group. We provide cybersecurity framework to enable developing quality-assured products. We work with the complete life cycle, so everything from research and advanced engineering to following the quality status and customer happiness.

Required qualifications:
Academic Degree in relevant technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
Interest in cybersecurity relevant topics and basic knowledge in the area
Good verbal and written communication skills in English 



Beneficial qualifications: It is meritorious if you have one or more of the following:
Knowledge about safety-relevant embedded system and software design
Knowledge about IT/Cyber security frameworks, risk management and standards
Experience of working with electrical and/or electronic system in the automotive industry
