The Oatly Way
Oatly is a company built on the idea of change. We exist to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process. This is why we come to work every day. Headquartered in Malmö, Sweden, the Oatly brand is available in more than 20 countries globally.
THE ROLE
Is your passion to make people work better and faster together through product data accuracy and availability? Are you thrilled by the idea of developing new ways of working in a fast-growing organization? Can you understand and explain both sides of product data processes/ways of working and system requirements? We need you.
As our Product Data Manager, you will be responsible for building, managing, and continuously developing how we work with product data during the life cycle of a product to ensure that data is updated, relevant and of high quality. You will act as the partner to the digital product owner and by gathering and coordinating business requirements from all relevant stakeholders you will ensure that Oatly develops the appropriate digital tools. To do this, you bring your own solid experience from data management in all phases of product development in food industry, from idea to product maintenance throughout the lifetime of the product.
To meet the Oatly need, you will collaborate closely with all three regional Product Development teams (US, EMEA and APAC) as well as with your colleagues in other global support functions such as Sustainability and Quality. You will be responsible for the product data model and for driving data management principles and data ownership. Digital product data management is in the startup phase at Oatly, so having previous experience from product development digitalization and digital product data management is a distinct advantage. In parallel you will be setting the vision and gathering the requirement for next generation data management, which we believe may be a PLM solution. Your home base will be the PD Excellence team, a new team started in 2022 as responsible for global product development support.
In Your Role Your Focus Will be to
- Create data management principles/processes and lead continuous improvement of them.
- Plan and execute the change management needed to implement an improvement or/and a new solution, including training of the organization.
- Be a global Product Development business partner to the digitalization team ensuring alignment between the business and Business Technology (IT). Specifically, you will be the global owner of the Product Development business requirements towards the PLM and ERP systems.
- Be part of product data solutions architecture planning across Oatly.
- Support the development and improvement of data flows to and from connecting processes, such as “Industrialization” and “Technology Development”.
The position is currently placed in Malmö.
