Arbetsbeskrivning
Mentimeter is one of the fastest growing companies in Sweden (DI Gasell 2018). One of the reasons we are so successful is our continuous improvement on being data-driven across the whole organization. Leveraging data is key to understanding our users and to offer them the best Mentimeter experience possible, we are expanding our Product Analytics team with a Product Data Scientist.
In this role you will work hands-on with our product teams and other stakeholders within Mentimeter to enable and promote more accurate, data-driven decisions and provide clarity on how each team is contributing. Together with us you will study user behavior, evaluate strategic initiatives and experiment with new features surrounding the product.
We work in small, independent, self-organizing teams. With a large interest across the whole organization to become more data-driven, we value someone who enjoys teasing out hypotheses and is incredibly collaborative. Come and help us understand our users better through good experimental design and in-depth data analysis!
What you'll do:
Work closely with cross-functional teams of data scientists, user researchers, product managers, designers and engineers who are passionate about Mentimeter’s user experience, whether they are brand new explorers or in-depth power-users
Further develop our understanding of user behavior through working with product teams to enhance our tracking
Conduct analyses to extract actionable insights on user behavior that will help drive product and design decisions. In particular, a focus on commercial and monetization analyses is a key area we are expanding on.
Support in structuring KPI frameworks and measurable objectives that help guide and connect to the performance of Mentimeter’s strategy within the product team
Be an important part of a growing analytics team to define standards and good practices and work closely with key stakeholders in product leadership and our data team lead.
We believe you have:
Clear and effective communication skills
A committed interest and curiosity in how data can be used to explain users and behaviors
An analytical and empathetic mindset with a hands-on approach to challenges
Strong personal leadership with a collaborative approach to solving problems
The ability and motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies
And in terms of professional experience, we value:
Experience in a hands-on Data Scientist role working with product managers
Building positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms
Present actionable business recommendations based on insights and design impactful visualizations to track and highlight progress
Experience in designing control-test experiments and presenting results to non-technical audiences, especially in an online commercial setting
Have used SQL on a regular basis
Our data tech stack is currently AWS Redshift, dbt, hex, Metabase, Mixpanel, Split.io so hands-on experience and/or knowledge of competing technologies would be beneficial.
