Product Design Developer

We are looking for experienced Product Design Developers
In Core Business Range, we are ready to put in the next gear of moving IKEA and making us better together. We have decided that we will focus, simplify and concentrate going forward by putting the product in the center – with a full focus on the core of our assignments.
Our business is about developing products, it’s at the center of all that we do, our daily job. We are looking for you, who love working with the IKEA range, is passionate about product development, Home Furnishing and the business we’re in and enthusiastic about solving real needs in people’s homes. You will be important in our journey where we have decided to dare to be IKEA, optimize for relevance and have the best possible products at lowest possible price.​
We are now looking for experienced Product Design Developers, who knows how to develop products with Democratic design inside-out and outside-in and who has a proven track record of developing products for the many people with IKEA identity and commerciality. In this role you will be able to use your full product development experience, your leadership skills and craftmanship in developing products.
As a experienced Product Design Developer
You have a big passion for developing better products to low prices for the many people
You know how to translate people´s needs in life at home to commercial products with democratic Design
You have extensive experience in product development and deep understanding of the IKEA value chain, different production techniques and how to work with colors, materials and finishes
You know how to Develop on the factory floor and for our customer meeting points
You naturally lead the team to take decisions and move forward in the explorative and creative process, together balancing all relevant input to create products with Democratic Design and IKEA identity
You know how to stretch boundaries, challenging what already exists and always strive to develop better products

This is a permanent role placed in Älmhult.
