We are looking for experienced Product Design Engineers

We are looking for you, who love working with the IKEA range, is passionate about Home furnishing and the business we’re in and enthusiastic about solving real needs in people’s homes. You will be important in our journey where we have decided to dare to be IKEA, optimize for relevance and have the best possible products at lowest possible price.​
We are now looking for experienced Product Design Engineers, who know how to develop products with Democratic Design (Design) inside-out and outside-in and who have a proven track record of working with continuous improvement of quality, customer experience and compliance of our product range for the many people. In this role you will be able to use your full product engineering experience, your leadership skills and craftmanship in developing products.
As an experienced Product Design Engineer
You have a big passion for developing better products to lower prices for the many people
You naturally lead teams to move forward in the development of physical products by taking an active role during the whole development process, from clarifying the brief to sale start
You enable collaboration and involvement of engineering competences and engineering partners across the value chain
You have the interest and know how to implement innovation, new technology, material, standards and shared solutions
You understand the importance of and have the know how of risk assessments
You know how to stretch boundaries, challenging what already exists and always strive to develop better products

This is a permanent role placed in Älmhult.
