Product Design Team Lead

As the Product Design Team Lead you will be a strategic partner to the Product and Engineering teams and contribute to building a product our customers love using. Together with the Product Design team, you will own MATCHi’s product design ensuring a seamless user experience.

Your responsibilities

Lead the Product Design team

- Help your team improve each day by guiding them from process optimization to better collaboration through positive leadership and always lending a listening ear to your colleagues
- Deliver on design projects using iterative product development methodologies
- Make sure your team members have a plan and the space to learn and grow, refining their skills and discovering new ones
- Recruit more Product Designers for your team by ensuring great candidate and onboarding experiences for them


Lead Product Design

- Help define the product strategy, aligning business goals with the needs of our users, and ensure that our user experience is of high quality
- Drive MATCHi’s product design practices by translating our product strategy into a coherent product experience and visual designs
- Establish and drive our user research practices
- Implement ongoing collaboration with Product Management, Engineering and other relevant stakeholders
- Work with your team to communicate the design ideas and reasoning behind them to the business
- Support your team in their daily product design challenges and decisions such as refining and validating designs or translating and documenting design ideas into visuals




Who we are looking for

- 5-8 years of experience designing at consumer-focused or SaaS product companies, ideally in an international environment
- 3+ years of experience leading a team of at least 2-3 Product Designers, preferably in a cross-functional environment
- You speak the language of our customers using your passion and ability to define a user journey through a design system from scratch until shipment
- Meaningful online portfolio that demonstrates your passion and holistic understanding of design and an ability to turn ideas into unique designs that you can share with us
- You describe yourself as a cooperative team member who appreciates attentive teamwork
- You are curious and ambitious, a colleague with a focused mind who shares knowledge and ideas with a brave heart
