Product Designer

Monocl is a rapidly growing SaaS business focused on life sciences and healthcare, and we're currently looking to grow our Design team with a passionate Product Designer! The role is based in Gothenburg and will give you the opportunity to really help build something from the ground. You will work in tight cooperation with our small design group, while being a part of the larger product team. What You’ll Do


As a member of the design team, your days will be filled with interactions, bouncing ideas and driving initiatives to make our product great. You will be working tightly with our lead designer and product design intern but will cooperate with people across marketing, product and engineering. At Monocl we aim to build the gold-standard of products and that requires creativity, attention to detail and passion across the board.

Some of your key responsibilities:

· Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business goals and objectives
· Plan and implement new designs as well as perfecting existing user interface designs
· Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centred solutions
· Create wireframes and prototypes for new product ideas
· Conduct ongoing user research
· Help evolving the look and feel of Monocl by working on design patterns, guidelines and spreading knowledge on how to use the design system
· Work closely with engineers throughout the implementation stage to ensure a high level of quality in the final compositions

You will work in a team with an open environment where we want to hear your opinions, ideas and initiatives. That means you need to be an open, flexible and straightforward person who doesn't shy away from sharing your thoughts.

We think you have:

· A strong understanding of product design, user experience and interaction design (probably 3-5 years)
· Experience building visual mockups and prototypes
· Experience of designing high quality interfaces
· Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English


Experiences that could put you over the top:


· Experience of working in a company with large datasets, data visualisation or big data
· Been a part of a fast-growing organisation or a new design team
· Worked in a SaaS company and/or Life Science
· Experience of working with graphic design and building design guidelines
