Job Description
The Outerwear team at H&M Kids is just getting started on taking function and active wear to the next level. You will be a key player in setting vision for the future Function assortment and creating new product categories with a high level of function in focus.
This Product Developer role in the Kids’ Outerwear team is perfect for you who currently work in a similar role, have a passion for Outerwear and the Kids customer and want to take on a new and exciting role! You have a genuine interest of latest Material developments, research and curiosity of new design innovations.
You will be responsible for the component and product development for our Function assortment in Outerwear (waterproof & water repellent), together with a team of Product Manager, Product Designer, Pattern Maker and Print Design. You will work closely with our team in Production with both short and long-term visions for our Function assortment, material/product development and taking the next step in our goal on sustainable Function and Active wear.
The Outerwear team create products for every season for the Kids customer. Products made for an active lifestyle, enable kids to keep warm, dry and stylish on their next adventure. Developing new and exciting products that enables them to look and feel great every day!
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we believe that you have previous experience working with outerwear, activewear and/or functional/high-performance materials. You have a passion for the Kids customer and all the opportunities for creativity and innovation these products and this category allows for. We also think that you love to do business and create growth by offering the customer great and commercial products. You thrive in a fast-paced environment with a lot of responsibility and a sustainability mindset is something that drives you.
Degree within textile, buying, retail business
Minimum 3 years work experience as a Product Developer, developing commercial and profitable retail products
Experience and knowledge of high-performance/functional materials/fabrics/active wear
Experience or passion for Sustainable design, material & new innovations in this field
A true passion for the Kids customer & Active wear
Curiousness & Solution oriented problem solver is part of who you are
Flexible mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture, short and long term goals
A true team player and great communicator

This is full-time permanent position with placement in Stockholm.
